Brandon University offers a wide variety of services to assist students, faculty, and staff.<\/p>\n
The Indigenous Peoples’ Centre exists to create a place for First Nations, Metis and Inuit student success through the celebration of learning, leading, and growing in a culturally inclusive and respectful way.\u00a0 The Indigenous Peoples’ Centre provides academic, social, cultural and personal supports and programs to assist students in reaching their goals.\u00a0 Services include:\u00a0 Elder visits, Buddy Program (mentors), access to ceremonies, community referrals, Aboriginal arts and stories, tutors and group study opportunities, family holidays, friendship building, traditional games and activities, and academic advising sessions.<\/p>\n
Information Technology Services provides support and expertise to students, faculty and staff pertaining to the University’s information technology infrastructure and the capacity accessible through collaborative and partnership arrangements with other providers.<\/p>\n
The Office of International Activities assists all international students with the transition of studying in Brandon, Manitoba.\u00a0 The Office provides an orientation session in the fall and continuous international student advocacy, including referrals to counseling and advising services.\u00a0 The office also oversees international recruitment as well as the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program to assist students for whom English is not their first language to improve their English language skills in preparation for post-secondary studies.<\/p>\n
The John E. Robbins Library provides library and research\u00a0services to the students, faculty,\u00a0staff and community accessing Brandon University and interlibrary collections as well as electronic databases.<\/p>\n
Brandon University has a wide range of services to engage and support students throughout their years of study.\u00a0 Services spanning from student recruitment, orientation, academic advising, counseling, academic skills (writing, mathematics and learning skills), TREK, residence life, student leadership, services for students with disabilities and career advising are examples of programs and services aimed to improve the student experience and foster student success.<\/p>\n
The Senate Office is committed to supporting many of the related activities of Senate Governance.\u00a0 As such, the office is responsible for supporting activities related to Senate sub-committees, applications for graduation, determining graduation eligibility, convocation, scholarships and bursaries, undergraduate\/graduate Calendar\u00a0updates, academic performance appeals and Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR).<\/p>\n
The Admissions Office is the first stop for anyone who is new to Brandon University and wish to takes classes.\u00a0 Our admissions staff assists applicants with the transition to BU whether they are a current high school student, mature student, international student or someone planning to transfer from another university or college in Canada or around the world.<\/p>\n
The BU Co-operative Education (Co-op) Office supports students in who have made Co-operative Education a part of their degree.
