Preservation Manager

Position Overview:

Makoose C Gamik Inc. is seeking a motivated and experienced leader to develop and oversee our Preservation Program. The ideal candidate will take a strength-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach, demonstrating a strong commitment to providing quality care to Long Plain Community members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the Preservation Program.
  • Conduct assessments and create policies and procedures to support program objectives.
  • Manage Preservation Workers and program operations.
  • Collaborate with staff, leadership, and community members to ensure quality and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Provide training to staff on the Preservation Program and leading practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records to meet regulatory and
    organizational standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree.
  • 3–5 years of direct experience in case management with meaningful
    interventions.
  • 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, develop training, and influence organizational best
    practices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent
    projects.
  • Registration with the Manitoba College of Registered Social Workers is an asset.
