THE ROLE
Imagine spending all summer hanging out with a great group of kids, playing at the splash park, going on road trips to fun and exciting places, getting creative with arts and crafts – and – getting paid for it!

We are looking for Summer Camp Leaders for children aged kindergarten through 12 years old. Each week will be a new experience with a host of activities including both indoor play and recreation and outside activities. You will get experience in designing recreational programs, teaching and leading individuals and groups while ensuring a healthy and safe environment. Above all, your goal is to help the children have fun, and have fun yourself.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
- High school diploma and some experience in a related field
- Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications
- HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development or HIGH FIVE Sport
- HIGH FIVE Healthy Minds for Healthy Children
Experience
- In working with children
- In programming activities for children
- In leading children in activities
- In ensuring safety protocols and procedures
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
- English Essential, Bilingual an asset
- Reading: None
- Writing: None
- Oral: Functional

Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg)
This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening and Vulnerable Sector Check.
START DATE
