Volunteer Camper Support
The Camper Support team will be an integral part of our Adults with Disabilities camp program. They are responsible for
supporting the self-care and hygiene needs of our campers.
Qualifications
• Ideally completed at least 1 year of post-secondary education or equivalent in nursing, emergency medical technology, pre-med or related field.
• Have experience in working with individuals with additional needs.
• Have valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification, at a minimum or willing to obtain.
• Clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Persons Search
• Clear Child Welfare Check
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have a desire to work with adults with physical and cognitive disabilities.
• Be able to meet the physical and emotional needs and daily care needs of the campers.
Responsibilities include:
• Assisting campers with morning routines such as getting dressed, self-care and personal hygiene
• Assist in showering and toileting as required
• Engaging with campers during camp activities
• Providing nighttime support on rotation for campers
Date of Contract: June 24th – June 28th
Accommodation and meals will be provided. Reference letter will also be provided
