2025/26 Spring Term, Course-Based Contract Opportunity, Department of Francophone Studies & Languages – Faculty of Arts

The Faculty of Arts is seeking a qualified Contract Academic Staff (CAS) member to co-teach a course in the Department of Francophone Studies & Languages for the spring session, term 1 (May 4 – 25, 2026), at Brandon University. The course is expected to be delivered in person on campus.

Qualifications: Applicants must have successful teaching experience and relevant expertise in Francophone Studies & Languages or related field. They will hold a Master’s Degree in Francophone Studies & Languages, and those holding a Ph.D. or who are at the ABD stage may be preferred. Applicants may seek to establish an experiential/traditional equivalency to Masters and are invited to contact the Chair of the Selection Committee on how to establish equivalent academic or professional credentials.

Salary: $7,857 per 3 credit hour course – 1.5 credit hour.

Spring Term 1: May 4th to May 25th, 2026 with an exam period following.

58:FREN:380 RESEARCH AND WRITING METHODS II

Prerequisite: 9 credit hours in French. Complementary to FREN 254 Research and Writing Methods I. This course allows students to develop a meaningful engagement with advance research and writing methods in French and Francophone studies: critical or annotated bibliographies, differences between academic writing, research project focused essay writing, and research-creation, reference styles in the field, etc. 3 lecture hours per week, one term
