2026/27 Fall Term, Course-Based Contract Opportunities – Faculty of Education
The Faculty of Education is seeking qualified Contract Academic Staff (CAS) to teach the following course at the Brandon University Campus in the 2026-27 Session in the Fall Term. Please apply by submitting a letter of application, a curriculum vitae and the names and contact information of three referees in a single pdf file in English to the Office of the Dean of Education (see email below), indicate to which of the courses you are applying. The courses will run based on sufficient enrollment and budgetary approval.
Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Master’s degree, and those holding a Ph.D. or who are at the ABD stage may be preferred. Applicants may seek to establish an experiential/traditional equivalency to the Master’s and are invited to contact the Chair of the Selection Committee on how to establish equivalent academic or professional credentials.
Salary: $8,132.00 per 3 credit hour course.

68.155 Introduction to the Cree Language I
This course develops basic proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing Cree, as well as some knowledge of its phonetic and grammatical structure. Preference will be given to candidates who possess the ability to teach the language at multiple levels. 3 lecture hours per week, one term.

o Evidence of relevant ongoing professional development, professional memberships, publication(s), conference presentations, and /or community involvement.
o Contact information for 3 references.
o Attachments showcasing successful teaching, for example, student course evaluations and previous a previous course outline if available.
