Qualifications/Experience:
Perform academic research under the supervision of Dr. Deanna Smid, who is writing a book on the history of beekeeping in Manitoba.
Monitor and document research status and findings.
Assist with duties related to the production of articles, publications, reports and presentations.
Assist in the acquisition of research materials and supplies, which will include making trips to various archives.
Perform routine clerical and administrative duties to support research activities.
Perform other relevant duties assigned.
Key Duties:
Must have an interest in historical, literary research;
Must have strong organizational skills;
Preference will be given to a Brandon University student studying English literature, Creative writing, History, or Geography;
For one of the two positions, preference will be given to a Brandon University student enrolled in the co-op program.
