Duties:
Join a national network of enthusiastic University and College students working together to make a difference in the science literacy of young Canadians! This Outreach Assistant position offers a highly rewarding opportunity to the right candidate.
Duties include: assisting the Program Lead and the other outreach assistant with the program at BU; assisting with recruiting volunteers and educators; helping to train and support volunteers; assisting with maintaining records; participating in planning outreach to rural and remote communities; contributing to writing reports; along with the possibility of attending an annual Let’s Talk Science conference and other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate will be enrolled (or have completed) in an undergraduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics related disciplines; have a passion for Science, outreach and education; possess strong oral and written communication skills along with outstanding interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize activities or events is highly desirable. Strong computer experience, including using Microsoft Office Suite is required. Prior experience with Let’s Talk Science activities is required.
