Please Note the Following Conditions Before Ordering
- Student ID cards are valid for one year only. (September 1 – August 31) Students will need to complete this process annually.
- Students must be registered in courses PRIOR to ordering their ID cards.
- IDs will be processed in the order they are received.
The Student ID Card Application form for the 2023/2024 academic year is now closed. If you still require an ID card for the 23/24 academic year, please email your request to ancillary@brandonu.ca
Pick Up Instructions
Brandon Campus Students
If you are a living in residence, your ID card will be ready and waiting for you at the time of your residence check in.
If you are not living in residence:
- Your card will be ready for pickup 2 business days from time of order. Please do not attempt early pick ups. Cards will be held for pick up for 6 months.
- Location – Ancillary Services Office, located on the main floor of McMaster Hall, 270 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba
- Times – Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
- Requirements – Must show government issued ID match the Student Card at the time of pick up.
Psych Nursing Winnipeg Campus Students ONLY
Please note that pick up within Winnipeg is only allowed for Psych Nursing students attending the Winnipeg campus. Students enrolled in other faculties/schools will be denied.
- Your card will take 14 days from time of order. Please do not attempt early pick ups. Cards will be held to pick up for 6 months.
- Location – Faculty of Health Studies, Winnipeg Campus, 602-491 Portage, Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba (6th Floor – Rice Centre)
- Requirements – Email bymanc@brandonu.ca after 14 days to coordinate your pick up.
- Requirements – Must show government issued ID match the Student Card at the time of pick up.
Lost Student ID Card
If you have lost your Student ID Card and require a replacement, there is a $32.50 fee for this service. You can request a new card in person only at the Ancillary Services Office located on the main floor of McMaster Hall. The replacement fee must be paid by the student using cash, debit or credit at the time of order. No replacement fees will be charged to the student account.
Requirements for Student ID Card photos
- Photo must be a current photo (taken within the last 3 months).
- The photo must be in colour.
- The photo should have a uniform light coloured background (a white background is preferable).
- Front view of student’s face – head and shoulders only – head must not be tilted to the side. The photo must show a full head without any head covering, unless it is worn for religious beliefs or medical reasons.
- No sunglasses/No hats/No hands on the face.
- No filters, AI or digital editing.
- The picture must be JPEG format with a file size no larger than 4MB.
Please note that we reserve the right to refuse any unacceptable photos. If the photo is deemed unusable, we will contact you to submit an appropriate photograph. All photos will be digitally stored for University use only. (ie. Student ID card, HLC membership)
