Acting Facility Operator II

Brandon’s Community Sportsplex

The Facility Operator is to ensure the safe and efficient operations and maintenance of Brandon’s Community Sportsplex including the refrigeration plant, commercial pool system, heating and ventilation systems, and all related equipment.

Mandatory Education/Certification & Experience:

  • Grade 12, G.E.D., or Mature High School Diploma;
  • Refrigeration Class Power Engineer Certificate or higher;
  • Hold and maintain a Class 5 Province of Manitoba driver's licence;
  • Hold and maintain first aid and CPR certification (to be obtained within 3 months).

Preferred Education/Certification & Experience:

  • Six (6) month experience operating a physical plant.

NOTE: Incumbents must successfully complete a Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Reference Check including Vulnerable Sector Verification.

Rate of Pay: $25.08 – 26.03 per hour - 2018 rates.

Position Conditions: This is a temporary, casual position and includes shift work (days, evenings, and weekends). It will be offered in accordance with conditions identified in the Collective Agreement between the City of Brandon and CUPE Local 69.
