Classroom Teacher and Facilitator for Virtual Learners.

Location: Wambdi Iyotaka School/ Education Building

Canupawakpa, MB.

Salary: As per Manitoba teacher pay scale.

The successful candidate must:

- hold a valid teaching certificate.

- Provide a recent criminal record check and child abuse registry check.

- Participate in mandatory drug testing.

- Enjoy building relationships with all students.

- Demonstrate a willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom

- Openness to understanding the Dakota culture and implementing the culture into the daily routine and structure of the classroom.

- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional growth.

- Demonstrate the ability to apply best teaching practices for diverse learners.

- Have experience and understanding of differentiated instruction, assessment and curriculum outcomes from Manitoba Education.

- Be committed to working within a collaborative environment and professional learning communities.

- Protect the privacy & confidentiality of information pertaining to families, children, team

members and administration.

- Work closely with the virtual school to ensure the technology will support the learning and provide supports to the students in the classroom.

- Guide the learner towards mastery of the subject.

- Work with the content provided by virtual school to provide in class support for students.

- Familiarize oneself with the instructional content and guide students through it.

- will be required to work in between the live lessons to ensure that the students are supported

throughout the whole semester.
