Tradesworker Level 3

**More than one (1) position may be filled**

To participate as part of a working team that performs, and may direct assigned workers engaged in planting, cultivating and transplanting trees, shrubs and ornamental and flowering plants.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12, G.E.D. , or Mature High School Diploma;
  • Manitoba Arborist or ISA certification;
  • Must be proficient in Mechanical Aptitude and Problem solving;
  • Hold and maintain a valid Class 5 with Air Province of Manitoba Driver’s Licence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in grounds maintenance including tree trimming and planting, machinery operation, and facility maintenance;
  • Pesticide Applicators License including Mosquito Abatement and Golf Course/Landscape (must be obtained within one year of appointment).

Rate of Pay:

$25.00 – $28.86 per hour - 2022 rates.

Position Conditions: This full-time, permanent position will be offered in accordance with conditions identified in the Collective Agreement between the City of Brandon and CUPE Local 69.
