This position involves considerable public contact and assistance to the legal profession related to regulations or procedures and completion of court documents. Training and coaching are provided for this position in order for you to succeed. Successful candidates start as a Clerk of Court 3 (CC3) and with training/experience, progress to the Clerk of Court 4 (CC4) level.

- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Must also indicate that they are able to communicate verbally and in writing in both official language (French and English)
- Ability to work overtime when required with little notice

Essential:
- Extensive experience performing administrative/clerical duties, which includes preparing/processing complex documentation, in a court, legal or related environment
- Experience dealing effectively in-person or on the phone with the public, judiciary, legal profession, law enforcement agencies or other related stakeholders
- Experience interpreting and applying a wide variety of acts, statutes, regulations, policies and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills including diplomacy and tact
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute toward a respectful workplace
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure to meet workload demands and deadlines
- Effective analytical and decision-making skills using sound judgment
- Experience working independently under minimum supervision
- Excellent English verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate legal principles in plain language
- Excellent English written communication skills including proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation and syntax
- Excellent French verbal communication skills
- Excellent French written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including MS Word and Outlook
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
Desired:
- Experience dealing with processes and procedures within the Court of Queen’s Bench
- Experience working with court-related computer systems, such as the Court Registry System
- Experience working with Court of Queen's Bench documents (e.g. statements of claim, petitions, affidavits) or equivalent documentation
