Leadership

• Lead by example, providing support to campers, staff, and the broader camp team for a collaborative work environment.

Operations

• Follow safety procedures and food handling standards.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Ensure timely meal preparation, meeting quality standards and portion sizes.
• Prepare and serve meals, considering dietary needs and preferences.

Administrative Support

• Assist with kitchen documentation, including logs and inspections.
• Ensure kitchen equipment functions properly and complete incident reports as needed.

What else do you need?

• • Certificate: Emergency First Aid, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Mental Health First Aid, Food handler Certificate
  • Y Winnipeg Staff required trainings: Workplace Safety & Health, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act Training (AODA), Respectful Workplace, Child Protection
  • Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check

Note - for successful candidates who do not have all of the above required trainings, the Y Winnipeg is willing to provide.

Assets: 

• Trainings considered as an asset: Wilderness First Responder, National Life Guard, Bronze Cross, Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOP), OCA Camp Marine Module Training Course
