The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the National Government of the Red River Métis - also known as the Manitoba Métis. The Red River Métis are Canada’s Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.

The MMF seeks to fill multiple summer Clubhouse positions within our Lake Manitoba Resort located in St. Laurent, MB, including Server, Bartender, Host, Line Cook, and Dishwasher. These positions have the potential to continue as part-time in the off-season. As the staff of Lake Manitoba Resort, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer
service to our guests and maintain a positive and cooperative work environment for all staff.

Job Duties/Competencies:
• As a Line Cook your main duties include preparing and cooking food, cleaning prep areas and making sure the kitchen is stocked while assisting wherever needed;
• As a Dishwasher your main duties include collecting and properly sanitizing dishes, glasses and cutlery, helping with food preparation and keeping the kitchen clean;
• As a Server your main duties include serving food and beverages to guests while proving recommendations as needed as well as maintaining stock and cleanliness of restaurant;
• As a Bartender your main duties include preparing beverages for servers and patrons, delivering food to guests, recommending food items and maintain stock and cleanliness of bar;
• As a Host your main duties include greeting and seating guests, providing menus and water to gusts, answering phones, general cleaning and assisting service staff.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age for Bartender or Server;
• Experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is an asset;
• Smart Choices Certificate is an asset;
• Food Handlers Certification is an asset;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule such as evenings and weekends;
• Ability to stand, walk, bend for extender periods of time;
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs;
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;
• Knowledge of Métis culture, MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
• Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
