Duties:

The Health Information Management Clerk will be the first point of contact for the Health Center. The Clerk will play an integral role in the administration of the immunization program and patient records management. They are responsible for determining patient flow, managing the health services email, providing WCB forms, and liaising between third party sources. They will also be responsible for the ordering and organizing supplies, organizing immunization and flu clinics for Winnipeg and Regional campuses. The Clerk will provide support to the Nurses in the Health Center. This position will be based out of Notre Dame Campus, however the incumbent will be required to provide support to all Red River College campuses. This will include the Exchange District Campus as well as mobile immunization clinics, requiring travel to regional campus locations. The Clerk is responsible to ensure that clinical records are kept in accordance with all legislated acts such as PHIA, FIPPA, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical Office Assistant certificate; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Health Information Management Diploma
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi task are required to work on several projects, duties and tasks within deadlines
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Assets:

  • Experience working in E Chart
  • Working in a post secondary institution
  • Working in a medical walk in clinic
