Duties:

Red River College requires an Instructor to teach in the Medical Radiologic Technology Cross-training Program. Reporting to the Project Manager and the Chairperson, Allied Health Sciences Admin, the successful candidate’s responsibilities will include sharing on-line, classroom, laboratory, and clinical portions of the program. Duties will include lecturing, practical instruction, evaluation and supervision of students in both theory and clinical components.

Required Qualifications:

  • General Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from an accredited training program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba
  • Extensive and current clinical experience as a medical laboratory technologist, preferably in Transfusion Science
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
  • Ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
  • Effective presentation skills with ability to present material to diverse groups with the use of appropriate technology
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Commitment to lifelong learning

Assets:

  • A Bachelor Degree in Education and/or Science or a related combination of advanced education and experience
  • Experience in adult education
  • Active registration with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Sciences

  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
