Marketing Specialist/Events Coordinator

Join the genAG family as a full-time Marketing Specialist. The Marketing Specialist helps genAG connect with its target audience, increase brand visibility, and encourage customer engagement through well-planned marketing efforts. We have locations in Winkler, Steinbach and Portage la Prairie. The first six to twelve months would need to primarily be seated in Winkler.

Your Role

As a Marketing Specialist, you will focus on understanding customer needs, creating compelling messaging, and selecting the best channels to deliver those messages, whether through digital platforms, print materials, events, or internal communications. The responsibilities of this role are seasonal; November to April a main focus will be on event planning and execution, during the months of May to October a main focus will be on creating and executing promotions.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Brand Management

  • • Manage company branding, including:
    o Vehicle decals
    o Signage
    o Company documents (letterheads, procedures, protocols)
    o Promotional materials
  • Oversee company apparel management
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns with departmental managers
  • Manage corporate sponsorships and donations

Digital & Content Marketing

  • Manage digital marketing platforms including social media, website, email campaigns, and search engines
  • Monitor digital media KPIs to optimize targeted results
  • Oversee internal and external content management

o Coordinate outsourced content curation as required

Collaboration & Internal Communications

  • Collaborate with HR and the Operations Director on:
    o Customer service training materials
    o Staff events

Events & Community Engagement
• Plan and execute company events as it pertains to marketing

Leadership & Administration
• Attend and contribute to pertinent meetings
• Lead marketing meetings
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by Store Managers or Owners
• Work in alignment with genAG’s mission and core values
