Your Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity exists to be part of the changing landscape of addiction and mental health services in the South Zone. There are 4 positions available in the newly created Access Addiction & Mental Health South (AAMH) program. AAMH South will be a single point of contact for AHS Addiction & Mental Health (AMH) services in southern Alberta and will support Albertans who are looking to access services and programs, as well as provide system navigation support and general service information.

As a member of the AAMH Intake Team, you will be responding to callers and conducting the tele-triage of addiction and mental health calls. Dependent on the nature of the call, you may be required to conduct a thorough screening and intake assessment to determine appropriate level of service required for the caller, enroll the caller into an AHS AMH service, advise of appropriate external community based services, provide immediate brief intervention and solution-focused support (if required), and appropriately triage to services where necessary.

As part of a virtual team providing expanded intake services for South Zone community clinics in the days and evenings, you will be supporting clients across the age continuum, including clients in rural and remote areas. Please note this position has some flexibility to work out of our Medicine Hat or Lethbridge facilities with the potential to transition to a remote working arrangement. Consequential vacancy management will be applicable for these positions. If you are ready to grow your career by expanding your intake skill sets and having an impact across the South Zone, this could be the opportunity you have been searching for.
