Knox United is looking for a Music Director to enhance worship services. This person would be responsible for playing for weekly worship services, directing choir practices and performances, and working with Minister or worship committee in selecting and coordinating music for worship and special services. The Music Director is encouraged to enhance services with creative musical approaches and other musicians. We have both a piano and pipe organ for use.

Although this a regular, part-time position, there is an opportunity to use our facilities for instrumental or vocal lessons. There is a shortage of these services in the community so this position could be the foundation to creating a full-time musical profession. Little theatre, nursery school, Sparks, a drumming group and square dance group also use our facility so there is a lot of opportunity for collaboration.

Fort Frances has a wealth of musical talent in the community. We have a 500 seat auditorium attached to the high school with a full-sized grand piano. We have a regular concert series, high school and middle school bands and regular performances of high school musicals and plays.
