The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the National Government of the Red River Métis - also known as the Manitoba
Métis. The Red River Métis are Canada’s Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.

The MMF seeks to fill one full-time Program Manager position within our Provincial Education Department located at
150 Henry Avenue in Winnipeg, MB. The Program Manager plans, implements, coordinates, and oversees departmental programs, including the planning, forecasting, budgeting, coordinating, communicating, reporting, supervising staff, and working with senior management and Ministers to ensure current and future commitments, priorities, and outcomes are met.

Job Duties/Competencies:
• Develop, organize, and facilitate the delivery of supportive, cultural, and academic Programs and Services to Red River Métis Citizens enrolled in primary, secondary and post-secondary education;
• Prepare briefing notes, documentation, and reports as required;
• Maintain a database that tracks student programs and services;
• Recruit and support potential secondary and post-secondary students for the program;
• Assist in policy development;
• Assist in program evaluation, research, needs assessment, and research analysis as assigned;
• Support growth and program development.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant field;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in program development and program delivery;
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience of managing multiple programs simultaneously in a large complex organization
or government;
• Experience in the field of education, particularly with curriculum development;
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;
• Experience in preparing informal and formal reports for governments;
• Experience with creating and managing large-scale budgets;
• Experience hiring, training, supervising, and managing a team of employees;
• Knowledge of Métis culture, MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
• Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle.
