2026 MMF Summer Student Position @ the WMRL 

Title: Programming Assistant 

Period: Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 28 (4 weeks) 

Hours per week: 20 

Wage: $16/hour 

Location: Brandon Public Library, potentially traveling to rural libraries 

Responsibilities: 

• Facilitating children's programming 

• Promoting our digital library 

Eligibility:  

• Must be at least 14 years old 

• If 15 or younger, must complete the Safe Work Manitoba Young Worker Readiness Certificate course prior to starting 

• Must have attended school full-time before the position, and be returning to school full-time after the position 

• Must have proof of Red River Metis Citizenship 

• A driver’s license and access to a vehicle are assets, but not required
