Description

Position: Soil Technician
Term: Seasonal
September 1 - December 1
Full Time: 40+ hrs/week
Casual work potentially available between Dec 1 - May 15
Wage: Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience & will be a combination of hourly wage & commissions. ~$20-$30/hr
Responsibilities will Include:
  • Safely traveling to designated farm locations.
  • Communicating effectively with growers & other team members.
  • Navigating to specific soil core locations using GPS mapping software.
  • Operating hydraulic sampling equipment to collect soil samples.
  • Accurately following established soil core collection protocols.
  • Ensuring proper labeling, shipping & handling of collected samples to maintain sample integrity.
  • Maintain accurate logs of sample location, customer, collection dates, and any relevant observations.
  • Assist in the maintenance of sampling vehicles & equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space.
Required:
  • Drivers License & Comfortable Driving on Gravel Roads
  • Agricultural Knowledge/Experience
  • Excellent Organizational Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Detail Oriented
  • Ability to Work Independently and Follow Established Procedures
