Salary: $15.63 per hour

Duties:

• Attend classes with assigned student
• Take notes for assigned student
• Organize and attend regularly scheduled work period with assigned student
• Work with assigned student on academic-related tasks including acting as a scribe in completion of assignments, essays, tests/exams
• Liaise with Student Accessibility Service staff, the student and their family
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:

• Considerable advanced skills and judgment
• Ability to work independently and/or with others effectively
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, including excellent listening
• Ability to extract essential components of lectures for note-taking purposes
• Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, punctual, organized and self-motivated
• Knowledge of MS Office, computers, and other peripheral equipment (copier, printer)
• Previous experience working with individuals with a disability is an asset
• Preference given to current Brandon University student; with enrollment in graduate program or holding a graduate degree
