The Royal City Soccer Club (RCSC) is a non-profit, community organization started in 1993. For 28 years, we’ve hosted a unique soccer camp experience for over 300,000 boys and girls between ages 5 and 13 years. Our camps are now the largest grassroots soccer camp in Canada with over 100 locations in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Albert and British Columbia and Nova Scotia. The popularity of our camps is not only due to our program structure, but also because of the great staff we have.

We will be looking to hire approximately 300 staff for July and August. Our camp operates Monday to Friday from June 29 until September 4, 2020 (excluding July 1 & August 5).

Camp Counsellor (preference to ages 18+ by June 29, 2020)

Responsibilities:

• supervising a group of campers in a camp setting
• organizing a daily program for teaching soccer skills, games and activities to a group of campers
• willing and able to enter and supervisor campers in a swimming pool setting
• building a close relationship with camper in your group and be aware of individual issues & needs
• participates in planning special events/activities for the group or whole camp
• sets a good example for campers
• ensures a fun, safe atmosphere for all campers and staff
• provide feedback to parents

Hours: 8am – 4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday (may be required to work 8am-5:00pm based on number of staff)

Wage:

• Between $11.70 - $12.00 per hour (based on years of service)
• Time & half paid beyond 8 hours each day ($17.55 - $18 per hour)
• Range: $468 - 570 per week

Camp Supervisor (preference to ages 18+ by June 29, 2020)

Responsibilities:

• managing all aspects of a camp location
• oversee operations of a camp including programs & activities planned by Camp staff
• managing and motivate a team of staff and volunteers
• planning, organizing and teach soccer and other games to a group of campers
• ensuring the safety and supervision of campers and staff
• communicating with Head Office regularly
• must have a vehicle to transport equipment to/from camp daily

Hours: 8am – 4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday to Friday (may be required to work 8am-5:00pm based on number of staff)

Wage:

• Between $12.30 - $13.10 per hour (based on years of service)
• Time & half paid beyond 8 hours each day ($18.45 - $19.65 per hour)
• Range: $492 – $622.25 per week
• Additional bonuses available where applicable: admin bonus, camper bonus, sales commission and remote site bonus

Qualifications of all camp staff:

• athletic and good soccer experience
• great with children (ages 5 to 13 years)
• good communication skills, team-oriented
• energetic, motivated and enthusiastic
• interest in teaching soccer to children
• creativity & problem solving skills
