Our growing company is searching for top talent to join our team in the role of Wastewater Operator – 18 Month Term located in the community of Neepawa.

Your days will include:

• Treating wastewater for safe return of byproducts (effluent, biosolids, air) to the environment
• Operating, monitoring, and inspecting wastewater treatment facilities
• Performing in house lab testing
• Treating liquid waste
• Disposing of wastewater effluent
• Operate, maintain, repair, and monitor wastewater treatment processes, equipment, facilities, and assets
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and facility
• Respond to emergency conditions according to established procedures
• Perform minor maintenance, repairs, and adjustments of equipment
• Identify and report Electrical & Instrumentation problems according to procedures
• Monitor uninterrupted power supply (UPS)
• Maintain chemical inventories, arrange biosolids pickups, acknowledge receipts from stores/suppliers

To succeed in this role, you possess:

• Post-Secondary education in Wastewater Treatment/Wastewater Collection, OIT, and Level 1 or greater.
• Completion of all requirements for the Wastewater System Treatment Plant Operator Level 2
• Willing to take Direct Responsible Charge (DRC)
• Basic knowledge of lab procedures, mechanical component diagnosis and repair, electrical component diagnosis, & power distribution
• Ability to perform routine preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment
• Ability to collect, interpret, report, and analyze data within defined procedures
• Ability to perform and interpret mathematical calculations using established formulas
• Ability to identify abnormal operating conditions
