A casual Office Assistant is required to provide reception and clerical support in a busy office environment for no more than a six (6) week period. This position is ideal for someone with flexible availability seeking short-term or occasional work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The casual Office Assistant will provide reception and clerical support in a fast-paced office environment as required. Responsibilities include preparing and processing work requests; tracking employee attendance and hours of work for bi-weekly payroll; coordinating room bookings with security guards; adjusting and maintaining programming for electronic doors on campus; assisting with shipping and receiving activities; ordering office and operational supplies; and performing other related clerical and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will possess a minimum Grade 12, plus a one-year Office Administration Certificate or similar program and have at least 3 years’ directly related office administration experience. A comparable combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures is a requirement.
*NOTE*
Must be available to work flexible hours, including the possibility of short-notice call-ins. Regular office hours vary between either 8:00am-4:00pm or 8:30am-4:30pm. Work may be scheduled between May 19 and June 26, 2026, based on operational needs. Skill based testing may be required.
