2026/2027, Fall & Winter Terms, Course-Based Opportunities, Department of Psychology – Faculty of Science
The Department of Psychology is seeking Contract Academic Staff to teach the following courses at Brandon University for the 2026 – 2027 academic year. These courses are delivered in person.
Fall Term: Classes run from September 9 to December 11, 2026, with an exam period following.
Winter Term: Classes run from January 5 to April 9, 2027, with an exam period following.
82:275 Adolescent Psychology: Section A10, 3 credit hours (September – December).
The course will deal with the various stages of development of the adolescent and the particular problems and needs of young people. Scheduled Tuesday 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
82:161 Introduction to Psychology: Part II: Section A02, 3 credit hours (January – April).
This course examines a series of topics in the field of psychology including human development, intelligence, personality, motivation, emotion, stress, psychological disorders, psychotherapies, and social psychology. Scheduled Tuesday 11:40 am – 12:30 pm and Thursday 11:40 am – 1:30 pm.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Psychology is preferred, Masters’ Degree in Psychology is required.
Applicants should have successful teaching experience and relevant expertise in the specified area. Knowledge and experience with Instructional Management System (e.g., Moodle, D2L) is an asset.
Applicants may seek to establish an experiential/traditional equivalency to the Masters’ Psychology degree and are invited to contact the Chair of the Selection Committee at the address below on how to establish equivalent academic or professional credentials.
Salary: $8,132 per 3 credit course
