Duties:

The Research Assistant will work closely with the Rural Capacity Building Research team at Brandon University. They will be responsible for:
– Assist with the literature searches,
– Manage and analyze real-time data,
– Participate in weekly research team meetings,
– Assist with drafting a summary report, and
– Other relevant duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

– Enrolled in the 4th year of an undergraduate program or a Master’s program at Brandon University and interested in rural community development.
– Experience and skill in completing literature searches and annotated bibliographies.
– Strong scholarly writing abilities.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to receive direction, follow through according to timelines, and work independently.
– Effective and professional communication.
– Extensive research skills are an asset.
– High level of digital and technological skills.
