Duties:
– Research and create written reports on best-practices in the area of career-related student initiatives
– Assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of career-related initiatives and events (e.g. registration, promotion, and manage day-of)
– Assist students with locating available career and employment resources
– Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
– Receive, edit, and maintain information on the Career Planning and Placement website (including job postings, career events, career links, social media, etc.)
– Provide high-quality professional service when addressing inquiries from students, staff and employers and other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and/or with others effectively
– Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
– Preference given to current Brandon University student; enrollment in graduate degree program preferred
– Extensive computer skills including familiarity with social media and website maintenance
– Demonstrated effective prioritization and time management abilities
– Event planning experience an asset
