Duties:
– Assist student with understanding course work
– Explain concepts, clarify information, answer student questions, and offer support
– Help students prepare for tests/exams
– model student success strategies
and other relevant duties as assigned

Qualifications/Experience:
– Preference given to current Brandon University students with enrolment in graduate program.
– Must have a GPA of 2.5 or better
– Complete course work in Linear Algebra, Calculus I & II, and Intro to Statistics
– Able to tutor Basic (090), Core (091), and Contemporary (152) math courses
– Strong academic standing in the courses intended to tutor
– Ability to work and communicate independently and/or with others and with individuals or small groups
– Strong attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills and self-motivated
– Demonstrated patience and ability to relate to students with varied learning skills
– Previous experience in group tutoring or as a lab assistant in the Math Deptartment is an asset
