Knowledge Mobilization Suite

The Knowledge Mobilization Suite (KMS) at Brandon University is a professional-grade space designed to help researchers, faculty, and students share their work beyond academic circles. The suite is equipped with a TriCaster for multi-camera video production, broadcast-quality cameras, an audio mixer, green screen, teleprompter, and a customizable backdrop. These tools support the creation of visually compelling and accessible content.

Book the KMS

Use of the KMS for:

  • Recording interviews, presentations, and research summaries

  • Producing knowledge mobilization videos for grants, community engagement, or social media

  • Creating digital content for teaching, training, or public outreach

  • Conducting podcast or voiceover recordings

  • Live broadcasts to streaming platforms (YouTube, Twitch, etc.)

  • Developing promotional materials or project updates for non-academic audiences

  • Filming in front of a green screen with customized virtual backgrounds

The KMS is not intended for:

  • High-volume or large-scale film production (e.g., commercial shoots, feature films)

  • Full-service media production (users are expected to operate equipment with basic guidance or bring their own production teams)

  • Graphic design or animation services (the suite provides space and equipment, but not post-production staffing)

  • General classroom use or public booking for unrelated purposes

The KMS is best suited for small-scale, high-quality digital content that supports the translation of research into publicly meaningful formats. Training and technical support are available for those new to media production.
