Emergency Final Exam Review

Use your notes and text to make up potential exam questions.

  • Pay special attention to theories and questions that are addressed in multiple chapters.
  • Use Compare & Contrast Questions.

Using the previous guidelines, identify 5-10 key concepts.

  • What has the professor focused on for the last two weeks?
  • What did they try to cram in the last day of class?
  • What was poorly done on the previous midterms?

Pick 5 to review:

  • Write the concept or topic at the top of a piece of blank paper.
  • In your own words, write an explanation or definition for each concept.  Do not use your text or notes!
  • Compare your response to your text or notes.  Edit!  Fix all the errors and blanks.  Draw a web, or use a chart where possible.  Include names where important.
  • This step will tell you how much you need to study this item.  Sequence and number each page from 1=most important to 5=least important in terms of your study time.
  • Focus only on these concepts for study, adding more as time permits.
