Community service plays a vital role in the mission of Canadian universities, and Brandon University is proud to uphold this tradition. For more than a century, our faculty, staff, and students have shown unwavering dedication to enriching our communities. The numerous hours of voluntary service contributed by members of our University not only enhance the quality of life in Brandon, the surrounding area, and the province, but they also align with and support the goals outlined in the Brandon University Strategic Plan.

At each Convocation, the Board of Governors presents the Award for Excellence in Community Service to a Brandon University employee who exemplifies outstanding commitment to community service.

We invite you to take a moment to reflect on the service contributions of your colleagues and consider submitting a nomination for this prestigious award. The nomination deadline is Friday, January 31, 2025. Following the deadline, the Selection Committee will review all nominations and recommend the most deserving recipient to the Board of Governors. Please note that all nominations are treated with the utmost confidentiality.
