An Evening of Astronomy
Drop in between 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm | McMaster Rooftop

Start by taking in a stunning view of Brandon from the highest elevated panorama at the center of the city. Enjoy a tour of the observatory and glimpse into our solar system and far off galaxies. View planets, stars, and other celestial objects. Weather permitting—indoor presentation in 223 Brodie in the event of rain.

Meet at Ancillary Services to be escorted up to the viewing platform.

Accessibility note: There are a few small sets of stairs to climb to reach the observatory.

BU Open Hive Tour
11:30 am - 12:00 pm | Meet in in Parking Lot 1

What’s the buzz on campus? Brandon University hosts honeybee hives for a project called “Bee U” and we make our very own honey. Get a close look at the busy bees anytime from the windows at Ancillary Services or visit during this open hive session, when BU’s resident beekeepers will explain everything you want to know about bees and beekeeping. You may even get a taste of honey, fresh from the hive.
