Jody Stark

Jody Stark is an Assistant Professor in Music Education at the Desautels Faculty of Music at the University of Manitoba. A well-known clinician, Jody taught music in French Immersion and English schools in Alberta for many years before becoming a music teacher educator. Jody studied music education at the Zoltan Kodály Pedagogical Institute in Hungary, the University of Calgary, and at the University of Alberta where she received her baccalauréat en éducation and Masters degrees. Jody uses elements of both Kodály and Orff-Schulwerk pedagogies in her teaching, and is proud to be the director of the University of Manitoba’s summer Orff and Kodály programs. She recently completed her Ph.D. study of the professional learning of elementary music teachers.
