Candice Waddell
Dr. Candice Waddell-Henowitch (she/her)is a registered psychiatric nurse, and an associate professor in the Faculty of Health Studies, along with the Gender and Women Studies Program. She is a passionate feminist that focuses her research on the experiences of sexual violence, and her spare time is spent volunteering for the YWCA locally and nationally. A project that she is really proud of is the graphic novel "It happened to me and it's not okay" designed by local artist Merissa Mayhew. Some of her relevant publications include:

Students that succeed in my classes show up. They dive into the material and participate in discussion and activities. They are not afraid to open themselves up to new ideas, and they are able to admit when they don't know something or they were wrong about something.
