Foundations for the Future of Rural: Technology, Data Governance & Capacity Building

This fall, the Rural Development Institute had the pleasure to collaborate with the Journal of Rural and Community Development to host the 2025 Canadian Rural Revitalization Foundation (CRRF) conference here in Brandon, Manitoba.

With attendees from across Canada and beyond, we were able to share in conversation and build connections with established and emerging scholars. With themes of technology, data governance and capacity building, the presentations highlighted crucial avenues of community development research and case studies – sharing insights from rural, remote and northern spaces around the globe.
