Are you ready to return to the BU Co-op Program for another work term?

We’re thrilled to see you continue your professional journey with BU Co-op! This is your opportunity to build on what you’ve already learned, strengthen your career goals, and gain even more meaningful experience in your field.

Below, you’ll find everything you need to confirm your intent to return, share your current career goals, and prepare for your next Co-op work term.

What to Expect as a Returning Student

In the Winter 2026 term, returning Co-op students will:

  • Dedicate 1–3 hours per week to completing online modules and participating in their job search.
  • Attend two 1:1 meetings with the Co-op Coordinator.
  • Participate in at least two of four Co-op Mentorship Events throughout the term.

For the Summer 2026 work term, you’ll:

  • Secure a full-time, paid position (minimum 420 hours) between May and August.
  • Register for the appropriate Co-op Work Term course and pay the course fee.
  • Avoid enrolling in other BU courses or taking extended vacations during this period.

Upcoming Professional Development Events

Returning students are encouraged to take part in Co-op events that strengthen skills and industry connections:

  • Co-op Kick-off Celebration — Thursday, January 8, 2026
  • Mentorship Event I — Thursday, January 22, 2026
  • Mentorship Event II — Thursday, February 5, 2026
  • Mentorship Event III — Thursday, February 19, 2026
  • Mentorship Event IV — Thursday, March 5, 2026
  • Co-op Welcome Back Breakfast & Celebration — Tuesday, September 8, 2026

Note: Returning students are expected to attend a minimum of two of the four mentorship events.
