Music educator Rob Chrol currently teaches band and jazz studies at Pembina Trails Collegiate. He teaches and performs across Manitoba, facilitates professional learning for educators, serves on the board for the International Music Camp, and attained a Master of Educational Research from the University of Calgary. His ongoing research seeks to demonstrate the need for public education to restructure its priorities, better reflecting what we now know about neuro-psycho-social development. Trauma-informed practices can facilitate a hope-based and holistic approach to education for staff and students alike, and music learning is foundational to that transformation.
