Mesha is a recent undergraduate of the Applied Disaster and Emergency Studies program at Brandon University and previously completed a cross-disciplinary bachelor’s degree from the University of Western Ontario, with a political science and international development focus. Going forward, Mesha is currently attending York University in pursuit of a Masters of Disaster and Emergency Management. Research area of interest includes the “upside of down”, whereby emergency situations may create windows of opportunity for positive development, especially in relation to rural communities.  Mesha works as Secretariat Support for the Rural Policy Learning Commons.
