The BU Ready safety app on campus is an essential tool for improving emergency response, enhancing communication, and fostering a culture of safety and awareness. It helps reduce risks, increase accountability and provide a stronger sense of security for the campus community.

Brandon University is one of a number of Canadian Higher Ed institutions that are currently using AppArmor Safety to keep their students and faculty safe.

Features

  • Unlimited Push Notifications: Mass notification system and delivery times of 1-5 seconds.
  • Friend Walk: User sends real-time location to a contact or local security/police force. Emergency button in case of a crisis.
  • Reporting Capabilities: Users can report suspicious activity, crime, facilities outages and more in real time.
  • Mobile BlueLight/Panic Button: Simultaneous emergency call and location share.
  • Check In: Initiate a two-way push notification so users can indicate they’re “OK”!
  • WorkAlone: End users can have the app check in on them while working alone.
  • Social Escape: Allow user to trigger an outboard call to allow them to gracefully exit a potentially dangerous social situation.
  • Multi Language Support: App supports multiple languages. Determined based on language or device or user preference.
