Transcript Requests

Requests for official transcripts must be made on the Transcript Request Form, and  the student’s signature is required  on the form when submitted to Financial & Registration Services with the required fee. Requests can be submitted in person, by mail, by fax or by e-mail. Transcripts are processed on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week.  Payment must be received by 11:00 am on the applicable processing day to make the deadline for that day.

Transcripts cannot be ordered by phone.

The fee is $15.00 for the first transcript and $5.00 for each additional copy on the same order (subject to change). Fees must be paid before the request will be processed. Transcripts will not be released if a student is in debt to the University.

Transcripts are considered official documents and may only be ordered by the student and will be released only to the student, or to another institution or agency upon the student’s written authorization.

All transcript requests must include student’s full name, student number and mailing address as well as complete mailing address of where the transcript(s) is to be sent. Please ensure the intended recipient is named (e.g., Admissions Office, Brandon University). Also indicate the number of transcripts requested. Multiple transcripts to the same address will be mailed in one envelope unless specific instructions are given.

If courier service is required, please indicate in request. A fee will be charged for this service. Standard fee within Manitoba $20.00, the rest of Canada $30.00, and USA $35.00. International courier and remote destination requests will be quoted based on destination. The courier fees listed here are in addition to the standard fees for transcript requests. Courier service requires a street address (no box numbers) and phone number of the recipient. When possible, courier pick-up will be on same day as the request is processed.

If mailing the request include cheque/money order made payable to Brandon University. If faxing or e-mailing the request, payment may be provided by phone to Financial & Registration Services (204-727-9724) with credit card number and expiry date. Please note that fax and e-mail transmissions are not considered secure for credit card information. An online payment may be submitted through your financial institution to your BU student account; indicate same on your request.

Transcripts sent to incomplete addresses provided on the request may cause delays or returns by Canada Post or by Courier service.  Non-receipt of transcripts due to providing incomplete addresses will require a new request form and payment.  Brandon University is not responsible for the loss or delay of transcripts by Canada Post or by Courier service.

Requests submitted without payment will not be processed until the fee is paid. Receipts for any form of payment are not issued unless requested.
