Dr. Natalie LaFleur is a bilingual (French-English) Canadian who has taught introductory and intermediate French courses at four Canadian universities. She has obtained a PhD from the Sorbonne Université in Paris and specializes in Eighteenth-Century Literature. Her thesis focuses on the various esthetic approaches present in the tableau (a type of dramatic scene) in Eighteenth-Century Novels. Her study offers various criteria by which the tableau can be identified in the roman noir (French Gothic Novels) and other Late Eighteenth-Century novels.
