Research Interests
I am a versatile performer, composer and recording artist.
A sampling of my work can be heard on:
My work as an artist spans jazz, pop, folk, indie, alternative, rock, rap, hip hop, “new music” (i.e. contemporary classical), “world” (i.e. non-western) and experimental genres. Recognized in Downbeat Magazine’s 2025 Critics’ Poll as a Rising Star on electric bass, and as one of CBC Music’s 35 best Canadian jazz artists under 35, I have worked with major artists such as U.S. Girls, Jake Clemons (Springsteen’s E Street Band), Tim Kingsbury (Arcade Fire), Basia Bulat, Cyrus Chestnut and Ralph Peterson Jr.

In addition to my creative practices, I research inclusive methods of music notation, which I presented on at the Jazz Education Network in Atlanta, GA in 2025. I also curate concerts, panels and masterclasses, providing platforms for collaboration between artists, art forms and generations.
