Ethics
All research involving human subjects must be approved by the Brandon University Research Ethics Committee (BUREC). A non-exhaustive list is available from BUREC for research that does not require ethics approval along with the BUREC exemption inquiry form.
Organizations outside of the university, such as RHA’s, may have their own ethics board and require a review in addition to the BUREC review. Some resources for ethics are provided below.

Mentors– Several faculty members with expertise in publishing, grant writing, ethics application, and expertise in specific methodology have agreed to mentor other faculty members.
Lending library – The Research Unit has a lending library. A list of books can be found here.
Presentations/Posters -Several resources are available for developing presentations and posters.
Publishing – Not all journals are created equal! A journal impact factor or an eigenfactor can help a researcher choose which journal they would like to be published in. A list of journal impact factors and eigenfactors can be found here.
