Learning & Development

Re-imagine Workplace Learning

During times of social distancing and self-isolation, we are invited to see workplace learning in broader terms. Traditionally, workplaces have focused primarily on organized learning in the form of workshops, programs or professional courses. As we work at a distance using a variety of online communication tools, we come to recognize the value of learning that also occurs in social and collaborative ways, as we engage in our daily work.

Currently, all in-person Learning & Development workshops have been suspended until further notice, due to COVID-19. Thankfully, we know that the learning doesn’t stop there.

Take time during the day to reflect on:

  • what you can learn from your daily interactions with others,
  • new knowledge or skills you acquire as you solve a problem,
  • or insights gained from listening to a favourite podcast, reading an article of interest, recommended book or blog.

Take it a step further and share with others what you’ve been learning as we find our way during these extraordinary times.
