Fully Funded M.Sc. Position at Brandon University
The Cassone lab is seeking a motivated M.Sc. student with an interest in plant pathology to commercially ready a cutting-edge molecular diagnostic for soybean. The position comes with a competitive stipend for the duration of studies.
The successful applicant will optimize a cost-effective, accurate, and innovative multiplex diagnostic tool that will allow for the simultaneous detection of soybean pathogens of economic importance in Canada. The student will gain valuable experience in pathogen culturing, field sampling, and a variety of molecular approaches (e.g., qPCR). Prior experience in plant pathology is preferred, but not required.
