BU PENT 2026 Rates

  • The following plans are offered to Brandon University PENT Students. The rates presented are estimates of room and board only and are subject to Board of Governor’s approval.
  • Meal plans are mandatory for all students in residence. Click here for more information regarding our Meal Plans.

First Year PENT: Arrival weekend of March 21st for PENT Orientation.
Upper Year PENT: Arrival weekend of April 4th for First Day of PENT Classes.

Room Rates

Note: Students in the PENT Program begin their stay in the Winter Term and may be assigned in any 3 of our residence halls; however, after May 1st BU Residence transitions into the Spring/Summer Term and all studying students should expect to move buildings and/or rooms.

Many students will be placed in double occupancy rooms.

Example One: A first-year PENT student may be assigned to a McMaster double occupancy room for March 21 and a McMaster economy single for May 1 – charged prorated double rate (March 21-April 30) plus a prorated economy single rate (May 1-program end).

Example Two: An upper year PENT student may be assigned to a McMaster double occupancy room for April 4 and a Flora Cowan standard single for May 1 – charged prorated double rate (April 4-April 30) plus a prorated standard single rate (May 1-program end).

Students who change room types will be charged using a prorated rate based on days spent in each room. Full PENT program stays average at 17 weeks.
