Everyone must use a key fob or BU Student ID card to securely access campus.

Brandon University’s strict vaccine mandate is now in full force. All members of the BU community (students and employees) must be fully vaccinated to attend campus.

All entrance doors to BU buildings are locked, and accessible only by employee key fob or BU Student ID card. Access is linked to your to your vaccination status, which is verified individually.

Testing is not an option unless you have been granted an approved, limited exemption. Those with exemptions, including people who are partially vaccinated, will be sent information on how to access tests. Tests are not available by choice.

If you haven’t already done so, upload your proof of vaccination to the portal at Vaccination.BrandonU.ca. You only need to do this once. Submissions are continually reviewed, but there may be delays at times of high demand. Watch for an email to your @BrandonU.ca email address verifying your access to campus.

Everyone must scan into the entrance, every time. Please do not hold the door for anyone else. Remember to give yourself extra time to get where you need to go.

Contractors should contact Physical Plant for access to the areas they need.

Visitors and members of the public should contact the person or office they wish to see, and will need to be met at the entrance to be let in. Appointments are encouraged. Infrequent, short-term visitors do not need to verify vaccination, but should be accompanied where possible on campus.

Everyone must continue to wear a mask while indoors, and maintain physical distancing as much as possible.
